A great line in a movie says: “There’s nothing more dangerous than a fool who has a cause.” This line perfectly describes the left. They are “tolerant”, but they won’t stop until they get what they want. They are fortunately thwarted by things like the First Amendment. Jack Phillips is a Colorado businessman and baker. The First Amendment has always been his friend.
Jack Phillips is a hero who has endured 12 years of attacks on himself, his family & his business, Masterpiece Cakeshop.
He never wavered. Today he won. Again. The Colorado Supreme Court dismissed the latest suit against him.

The Colorado Supreme Court dismissed on Tuesday a case against Phillips. Phillips is a Christian and refused to bake a birthday cake for Autumn Scardina, a transgender. The Justices decided, by a vote of 6-3, that Scardina hadn’t exhausted her options to seek restitution in another court before filing suit. Justice Melissa Hart wrote for the majority that “We do not express any opinion on the merits” of the claims.
Jake Warner of the Alliance Defending Freedom represented Phillip before the court and argued that Phillip’s right to free speech was protected under the First Amendment. Warner told the court that his client’s case and refusal to bake the cake was enough. Jack has been in court for more than a decade. It’s time to let him be.”
Jake Warner is not joking when he says that Jack Phillips was drug into the courts for more than a decade. Jack Phillips’ ordeal started in 2012 when a couple of the same gender asked him to bake a wedding cake. In 2012, the couple was married in Massachusetts as gay marriages were not legal in Colorado. Phillips refused the cake because he was a Christian and opposed gay marriage. The couple then filed a complaint with the Colorado Civil Rights Commission against Phillips, his business Masterpiece Cakeshop, and Phillips himself.
The Colorado Supreme Court has dismissed a lawsuit against baker Jack Phillips after a leftist trans lawyer sued him for not making a transition celebration cake. The lawsuit was revenge against the baker for not making a wedding cake for a gay couple. https://t.co/3z8xZABJsh

The legal battle between Jack Phillips and what some viewed as discrimination, dragged on for years. It ended up at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018. The Justices ruled 7-2 in a decision that focused on the “anti-religious bias,” which they perceived on the part of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission. They found the Commission to have violated Phillips’ First Amendment rights.
Then, a funny event happened to Jack Phillips on his way to be left alone. Autumn Scardina appeared on the same day, in 2017, that the U.S. Supreme Court had announced it would hear Phillips’ first case. Scardina asked Phillips to bake a pink cake on the inside, and a blue one on the outside for her gender transition. Phillips again cited his Christian faith and refused to make the cake. Scardina was not surprised. In court documents, Scardina promises Phillips, if this lawsuit is dismissed, that he will call Phillips to ask for another cake the next day and file another lawsuit.
Colorado’s Supreme Court Justices ruled that Scardina let her activism get the best of her when she did not challenge a 2019 agreement between Phillips’ and state attorneys in 2019 regarding legal actions that Phillips brought that Scardina wasn’t involved in. She pursued her suit against Phillips’ business and him on her own. In 2021, lower courts ruled Phillips violated Colorado’s anti-discrimination laws, and the Colorado Court of Appeals ruled there was no First Amendment protection because Scardina did not request any writing on her cake.
Jack Phillips, is this the end? We hope so. Jack Phillips’ Christian beliefs have been drug through the courts for over 12 years. With the help of the Democrat Party in America, the left has declared war against Christianity. Jack Phillips was made an example and his business was destroyed. We can only imagine who would be next to be targeted if the freedom of expression belief and worship is not respected in America.
The way that the entire center-left establishment treated Jack Phillips was a huge red-pill for me. There are good guys and there are bad guys in this story, and the good guys are not the folks trying to steal a man’s livelihood because they don’t like his religious beliefs. https://t.co/hGdFPu1Pvm
