Usher Raymond, the pop music star who has performed for Super Bowl halftime shows since 2004, gave an amazing performance on Sunday. He sang several of his biggest hits from his 2004 album “Confessions”, and even paid homage to God.
Usher told the millions of people watching during the transition at the show’s beginning that “Only God can answer prayers.”
He said, “It does not matter what people say; only God can answer prayers.”
Social media users celebrated the moment:
Props to @Usher for having the most toned down half time show in a decade. He rested on the fact that he is a solid performer and let that be entertaining enough. Was it without some questionable things, no.
“It doesn’t matter what they say, only God answers prayers.”
Amen
