When I heard the shocking news from the Supreme Court on Friday, I considered whether I should jump in on social media to witness the leftist meltdown. I originally intended to, but instead, I decided to go swimming in the pool and not pay much attention, getting sunburnt instead.
While I do enjoy hours upon hours of schadenfreude, I also enjoy not being distracted by the nervous breakdowns that accompany randos. It is a great experience that I recommend for everyone sometimes.
I finally got to see some of Saturday’s action, and more on Sunday. It’s not pretty, as we all know.
There were many reactions, from America’s Dumbest bartender choking up her last brain cells to the most mentally unstable progressives sharing their feelings with the world.
Robert gave one example:
A Twitter user using the handle @redfrnn tweeted, shortly after Roe V. Wade was overturned. He or she deleted his or their xis accounts and tweeted “I’m going to assassinate Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas.” This tweet came just a few days before. The user had previously tweeted a picture of a gun saying “I’m considering buying a Mac mini.” Twitter did not consider this murderous psychopath in violation of its rules. It’s illegal to threaten violence against individuals, but Clarence Thomas is a conservative. Thomas is not only a dissenter from the Left’s agenda but is also one of the most powerful people in the country who actively opposes it. The Twitter fascists would not mind if @redfrnn, or anyone else, actually killed him. They wouldn’t shed a single tear for our fallen law of the land.
It went on and on.
There are some pro-abortion activists who are upset but don’t need a straitjacket. I’m familiar with some. In fact, I had a conversation with one of them over the weekend. Although we don’t agree on everything, we can still have a conversation.
Unfortunately, this is a rare thing.
Because I don’t want the unbridled lunacy to breathe oxygen, I won’t be sharing any of the more common reactions.
I’m not the only one to say that progressives made it this way: they threw “safe, legal, and rare” in the trash and decided to be lustful for aborting. It’s not a good look for humanity, and it will never be. It is impossible to mitigate this seediness with all the political spin. (The worst is “reproductive rights”. The goal is to prevent any reproduction …)
Pro-abortion activists use doomsday scenarios to justify their outrage. They are largely based upon statistical anomalies that are almost impossible and a basic understanding of federalism (thanks, public education!).
They would like to believe that the memes and p***y pictures on social media will magically calm their misbegotten anger. The best thing for the most fervent pro-abortionists is meditation and Xanax prescriptions. This would be the first step in being open with oneself.
Hey, I can dream.
