Van Phu Bui, 55, was arrested for the brutal but cowardly-insane sucker punch he threw at his victim in New York City. The whole thing was caught on video surveillance.
The chickenhearted Bui is seen nonchalantly putting on work gloves as he surreptitiously meanders behind the victim, 52-year-old Jesus Cortes, before throwing a haymaker to the right side of Cortes’ head.

Cortes was unaware of what had happened. His family told Reporters that his head was very swollen.
Cortes, a Mexican brother, started a non-profit group and taught Mexican folklore dance.
Police believe the men are not friends and have not revealed any motives. Bui was also charged with harassment and third-degree assault. According to a report, Bui “intentionally (caused) physical injury and with intent harass, annoy, alarm another person.”
Alarm? The victim was still bleeding in the brain. Bui skated out of jail without bail and is out on supervised release.
But wait, there’s more. Here is the kicker: Bui should have spent his life in prison. He drew a six-year-to-life sentence for first-degree sexual assault back in 1995 for viciously attacking a 17-year-old girl. He was paroled in 2019. He is registered as a Level 3 sex offender, the worst of the worst. Before his sexual assault conviction, Bui was charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. What does it take to stay in a New York City jail?
“That kind of person shouldn’t be out on the street,” Cortes’ sister, Veronica Cortes, told the New York Daily News. “I felt helplessness and anger and sadness because that person who did the damage does not know the damage he did to the whole family.”
Bui was freed in 2019. Andrew Cuomo (NY’s disgraced former governor) decided to release prisoners on early parole for “racism or some” reasons. But then he denied that he had.
Bui lived four blocks away from the crime scene in a shelter. Bui worked as a security guard.
This attack is part of a series of violent crimes that have been committed in major cities across the country over the past three years.
Lee Zeldin is a New York Rep. and is running for the office as commie governor. He understands that New Yorkers are tired, and has promised Alvin Bragg to the history books almost daily.
Here’s another example of criminals not fearing law enforcement and order. Please vote LEE ZEDIN if you’re in New York.
So many NYers just want to work hard, do their job and safely return home to their families, but now face constant threats of violence & worse due to the rampant crime crisis that has festered under one party Dem rule. Earning a living shouldn’t be a life-threatening exercise! https://t.co/wH91Jy2Jft
