Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer, a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy, was shot in the face while seated in his patrol vehicle, which had been stopped at a stop sign just ten feet from the Palmdale Station House. Clinkunbroomer succumbed to the injuries he sustained.

After the shooting, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna held a press conference where he expressed his belief that the shooting was a targeted attack and requested the public’s help in identifying and finding the suspects.

Now, it is reported that a person has been arrested in connection with the shooting.

Fox News was informed by sources close to the case on Monday that an arrest had been made. A second source told Fox News a person of interest was identified on Sunday, and taken into custody by a tactical team of the Special Enforcement Bureau.

Last night, the police announced that they would pay $250,000 to anyone who could provide information leading up to an arrest.

At this time, no further information has been released about the person taken into custody.

The sheriff’s office has scheduled a press conference for 10:30 a.m.
