When Howie Mandel and his wife made vows to one another, “for better, for worse,” he did not plan on making his family’s lives “miserable.”
The comic revealed that his wife Terry gave him an ultimatum during their marriage. If he did not seek treatment for his condition, later diagnosed as obsession-compulsive disorders, she would leave.
I’d take their toys away if they were on the floor. Mandel told Today.com he “made their lives miserable”.
Mandel remembered that his wife had given him an ultimatum: “I won’t allow the children to do this anymore.” “If you don’t get help, that will be the end. ”
A deadline forced me to seek therapy and I was diagnosed with OCD.
The judge on “America’s Got Talent”, a 40-year-old man who was diagnosed as having OCD, initially admitted being “embarrassed” about his mental illness. He said that there is “stigmatization” of this issue.
Mandel uses humor to cope with his health problems. He criticized others for making jokes on OCD.
I cannot tell you the number of people who have said, “Oh yeah, I’m a little OCD, too.” “I’m a bit OCD,I’m not happy when my room is not clean. ”

The 67 year old said he is grateful for a blessed life, but admits that mental health issues can sometimes be challenging.
“It’s a war zone inside my head. It’s worthwhile to fight and I will continue to do so. ”
The comedian has previously spoken publicly about his OCD. OCD is defined by intrusive, unwanted thoughts. These thoughts can cause anxiety, phobias and repetitive behaviors.
Mandel said in October of last year that mental health is stigmatized and that he is fighting to change it.
