Musk vs. Zuckerberg was not the MMA Fight of the Century. Mark Zuckerberg is a 39-year-old father of three who weighs only 155 pounds. He is best known for his aggressive pursuit in virtual reality where people are only now gaining legs. Conversely, a 52-year-old Musk weighs between 187 and 224 pounds depending on the season. He is best known for his sick burns, and for owning a confusing platform on social media that makes him lose money.
Both men were training for a mixed martial arts fight. Musk tweeted on (X), that he might need minor surgery following an MRI on his upper back after Zuckerberg pitched for a battle on August 26.
I would have enjoyed watching it.
Given their backgrounds in jiu-jitsu, it’s more probable that if a fight between Zuckerburg and Musk happens, it will take on a UFC style, as opposed to traditional boxing. Zuckerburg has a history in the sport, while Musk has trained with notable MMA practitioners John Danaher and Lex Friedman.
Musk’s MRI showed that he did not need surgery. Last week, he suggested that the cage match take place at an “epic location” in Italy. He called Italy’s Minister of Culture, Gennaro Sigliano.

The weekend has been a disaster as Zuckerberg, the media and Musk have all claimed that Musk has backed down.
Zuckerberg stated on Saturday that “he loves this sport” since Elon had challenged him. If he accepts a date, I will let you know.

We all know that Elon’s not being serious. Elon has refused to confirm the date. It’s time for us to move on. Elon claims to need surgery and then asks me to host an alternative practice session.

The headline on The Hill for Monday morning is “Zuckerberg claims Musk doesn’t take cage fighting seriously and that it’s time to move on”.
NBC News: “Zuckerberg dismisses Musk for avoiding cage fight. ”
The Verge’s headline said it all: Elon makes up stories and Zuckerberg says he is prepared to fight.

Musk’s promise (threat?) looks more like Zuck making excuses than Musk. Musk’s threat (promise?) is the most interesting. Musk stated on Sunday that he was going to “bang on his door tomorrow” and “insist on fighting. ”
