Texas Outlet Mall Mass Shooting Leaves Multiple Fatalities, Including Children

On Saturday afternoon, there was a shooting at Allen Premium Outlets in Texas.

The authorities have revealed very little information about the mass shooting that occurred at the Allen Premium Outlet Mall.

Around 3:40 pm on Saturday there were reports that a shooting had occurred at an outlet mall in Dallas. The video shows the moment when gunshots were heard at the mall.

The mall was put on lockdown after witnesses reported hearing dozens of gunshots.

WFAA reported “multiple victims including children.” The outlet quoted the Collin County Sheriff, who confirmed the death of the shooter at the crime scene.

The Allen Premium Outlets had several SWAT-armored vehicles.

Allen Police Department stated, “Law enforcement officers are on scene at Allen Premium Outlets.” A criminal investigation is currently underway. “Please avoid the area until further updates.”

Emergency response was provided by ambulances from Allen, and nearby cities.

The Dallas Office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives stated that its personnel was “responding to an active shooter at Allen Premium Outlets, Allen, TX.”

KTRK-TV reported the FBI was at the crime site to help in the investigation of the shooting.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott made a statement.

We are all with the people in Allen, Texas during this terrible tragedy. I have spoken with Mayor Fulk, DPS Director McCraw, as well as state and local leaders, and offered the full support of Texas to the local officials. This includes DPS officers and Texas Rangers as well as investigative resources.

Elaine Penicaro told KDFW that she heard a lot of popping outside the Converse store. “We kind of stopped and then, a second after, we heard ‘Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop, Popping’, and saw sparks flying right in front us.”
