Serena Williams is one of the American athletes who came to France this week to watch Team USA stars try to win the gold at the Paris Olympics.

Her experience as a tourist in Paris was probably less than she had hoped.

Williams, who won an Olympic gold in 2012, posted a complaint on X about The Peninsula Paris’ service.

She wrote, “Yikes@peninsulaparis! I’ve never been denied access to the rooftop of a nicer restaurant to eat,” but she did not do it with her children. “Always a first.”

In a response, The Peninsula Paris seemed to apologize to Williams.

The hotel sent a letter to Mrs. Williams, saying: “Please accept our sincerest apologies.”

The only tables that were not occupied belonged to L’Oiseau Blanc, our gourmet restaurant.

We will always welcome you back.

She did not respond to the apology from the hotel. Williams shared a video on her Instagram Story of the United States men’s volleyball team’s matchup with Brazil.

Williams is one of the torchbearers for the Paris Olympics.

She stopped playing competitively after the 2022 U.S. Open. She is one of the best female tennis players ever and won 23 Grand Slams during her career.
