Scathing GOP Report: Biden Ignored Advisors, Misled America on Afghanistan Withdrawal

Parts of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s two-year-long investigation into the deadly Afghanistan withdrawal orchestrated by Biden and Harris were released on Sunday. The conclusions are shocking. The president, who was determined to get American troops out no matter what ignored his advisors, lied in front of the public, and took dangerous risks, is expected to release the full report on Monday.

The Committee’s conclusion was not a veiled one.

The report stated that “during his decades-long career as a Delaware US Senator, eight years of service as Vice President of the United States, and nearly four years of presidency, Mr. Biden demonstrated distrust for America’s military advisors and experts, and prioritized his political legacy and personal legacy above America’s national-security interests.”

Biden and Harris have attempted to blame Trump for this debacle, which cost 13 American servicemembers’ lives and injured many others. They claim that the “Doha Agreement” the Trump administration reached with the Taliban about withdrawal dates bound their hands. Biden had previously shown “little respect” for the agreement. Some in Biden’s administration also argued that the Taliban was violating its terms and invalidating it.

The report claims that the Doha Agreement was an excuse. Biden was so desperate to end the conflict that he disregarded the advice of the most senior of his advisors and pressed his finger into the eyes of NATO allies.

The document stated that Biden decided to withdraw completely even though nearly all military officials advised against it.

The report stated that “despite President Biden’s public statements to the contrary, it has been revealed that the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Commander of US Central Command and the Director of National Intelligence as well as the Commander of NATO’s Resolute Support Mission, United States Forces – Afghanistan and the Secretary of State all recommended against the withdrawal of all US troops during and after the Interagency Review.”

The Harris-Biden Administration also ignored international concerns and brushed aside the objections from other NATO nations who deployed to Afghanistan as support for the US.

We will continue to analyze the findings of the committee when the full report is released on Monday. The New York Times has already been wailing about the timing of the report to influence the presidential election, and the Republicans’ attempt to link Kamala Harris to the disaster, without any evidence.

There is evidence that there is a problem.

Mike McCaul, the chairman of the board, appeared on CBS “Face the Nation”, Sunday morning to refute the accusation that the timing had been politically motivated. He said that the report took two years because of obstructions at every stage.

No matter the timing, the Biden-Harris Legacy will remain. And no amount of spin can change that.
