Russian President Vladimir Putin sent two “hit squads” to Ukraine just before the invasion. They targeted President Volodymyr Zilensky in an attempt to overthrow Ukraine’s government.

The assassination was carried out by Chechen assassins. One group was captured outside Kyiv while the other is believed to still be at large. Oleksiy Daliv Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council stated that Kyiv was provided with information from the Russian intelligence service FSB in order to track down the assassins.

Zelensky stated that he was expecting an attack at the beginning of hostilities on Wednesday. Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Chechnya and a Putin ally, confirmed that there were Chechen fighters at Ukraine’s last Wednesday and called for Ukrainians to overthrow their government.

The two Chechen paramilitary groups, “The Kadyrovites”, are named after Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen president. They also include the Wagner Group, which has been operating in Syria and other hotspots, carrying out terrorist acts, assassinations, and other forms of violence.

He said that the Kadyrovites elite, who had come to our country to kill our president was destroyed. Kadyrovites, a Chechen paramilitary group, has been accused of many human rights abuses and violations. They serve at the pleasure of Razman Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic and an ally to Vladimir Putin.

Putin could end up in worse shape if Danilov had indeed received the information from FSB traitors. Putin’s “palace guard” is the FSB. Any defections from that group — officials high enough to have knowledge of the plot to assassinate Zelensky – could spell trouble for him.
