Kamala Harris’ Campaign Manager Led the Charge to Pressure Facebook into Censoring Speech

More reverberations are being felt with the drop of the Mark Zuckerberg/Facebook/Meta censorship regret letter. The letter revealed former White House Assistant Director of Digital Strategy Rob Flaherty as the person who was pushing Zuck and Big Tech platforms such as Google to censor their speech that they did not agree with.

Flaherty has now been appointed Kamala Harris’ Deputy Campaign Manager. What does this say about the potential Harris-Walz Administration and their handling of freedom of speech?

The answer is obvious.

A top adviser to VP Kamala Harri was heavily involved in urging Facebook to suppress “misinformation”, in an attempt to control the political narrative surrounding COVID and related issues.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, admitted in a Monday letter that the Biden-Harris Administration had pressured his company, Facebook to censor Americans. This was especially true for COVID-19 material. Zuckerberg also brought to light the actions taken by Harris’ deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty, as part of this pressure campaign.

FOX Business reported that Flaherty was the former director of White House digital strategy and helped to lead the campaign against alleged “misinformation”, relating to COVID-19 viruses and vaccinations.

Documents show that Flaherty sent an email to Google team members on April 20, 2021, asking them to “connect […] to your work in combating vaccine hesitancy but also to crack down on misinformation about vaccines.”

JD Vance, the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, is already focusing on the subject. If you are Harris-Walz you don’t need JDVance’s laser focused. Vance can articulate in nine different ways on Sunday the fraud that the Harris-Walz campaigns are committing and how, if they win the White House it will be a major blow to the right of free speech for Americans. The next few weeks will be a riot of Trump campaign rallies, press conferences, and other events.

The “co-president” Kamala Harris hired the White House’s head of censorship as her campaign manager. Do they think that they can get to the White House by riding on the joy and vibes? This is not good.

Flaherty, who was interrogated by the House Committee on the Weaponization Federal Government only three months earlier, was either mute or had amnesia when Rep. Kat Cammack brought receipts for Flaherty’s verbal and written commitments to censoring American speech and forcing social media companies by any means to comply. Flaherty also was very good at avoiding the House subpoenas that were issued to him to testify.

Flaherty also waxes eloquent on how he feels regarding misinformation, fake news, and social media.

Flaherty asked for more information on vaccine misinformation and offered government assistance through COVID experts in the White House, who would work in partnership with YouTube to develop new products.

Google noted in an email that the White House staffer had “specifically drilled down on our decision-making for borderline content”, which is content that does not cross Community Guidelines, but just brushes against them, according to YouTube.

Google admitted a week later that it had sent to the White House all the videos removed due to misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine, and discussed the government’s need for more data.

A Google employee sent an email to another Google employee that read, “Really [Flaherty] is interested in what we are seeing that IS NOT coming down,” referring perhaps to videos that have not yet been taken down.

Flaherty, according to a Fox Business article from 2023, asked Facebook to grant government agencies special access to Facebook users in 2021.
