Doug Emhoff’s Attempt to Rally ‘USA’ Chant Falls Flat in Front of Dem Crowd

Doug Emhoff, Kamala Harris’ husband, spoke to a small audience at Broadleaf Brewery on Thursday in Kentwood Michigan to promote her presidential campaign. He had a bad time when he asked the crowd to join him in a chant that said “USA!” USA!”

The audience was no better. They could not muster the energy to support their country. Cringe:

The video shows a few people trying to join in the chant. But then, they stop abruptly, as if realizing, “Hey we’re Democrats. We don’t do that.” Pay attention to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, who barely moves her lips on the left.

Emhoff was forced to say “You can say that!” as if the crowd needed permission to cheer on our nation. You know you’ve failed when you have to tell people, “You can chant it!” to get them to join in.

Twitchy’s social media reaction section is full of hilarious reactions. Here’s an example:

Emhoff then tried to convince people that his wife was “pro-capitalism” just days after she had floated the idea for Soviet-style price control on groceries.

Kamala Harris is pro-capitalism and pro-business. She’s also pro-innovation. She wants everyone in this economy to be successful.

Absolute absurdity. She wouldn’t be the tie-breaking voter on the Inflation Reduction Act which included hundreds of billions of dollars in spending and helped to shoot inflation through the roof. If she had wanted everyone to be successful, she would not have supported Bidenomics wholeheartedly for the past three and half years.

Emhoff gave a decent DNC speech, but he hasn’t done much else to impress. The weak attempt to chant the USA reminds me of other times when Dems have tried to get their fans excited, but they were not.

It should have been easy to join in the chants for the USA, but it was clear that these people didn’t want any part of it. This tells you quite a bit about their opinion of the USA.
