The future is clear as day.
It is hard to believe, but our nation no longer has a southern border. Even if the southern border magically appeared tomorrow, millions of people would already be in the country. No one knows who they are or where they come from. In 2023, 169 people on the FBI terror watchlist were caught at the border. Nobody knows how many others on this list crossed the border without being detected.
At least 137 people were murdered by four jihadists in Moscow. They shared the same beliefs with the Hamas terrorists who killed 1,200 Israelis on October 7th. How many people in our country aspire to become the next jihadi warrior? How many people plan to be the next “martyr”, and take hold of the Qur’an’s promise of a place in paradise for those who “kill and are killed” for Allah?
Nobody knows and asking questions like this is forbidden. Last week, the United States intelligence agencies were instructed to refrain from using the term “jihadist”, to avoid the sin of “Islamophobia”. Jihadists may quote the Qur’an all they want, and even invoke Islamic teachings, but intelligence and law enforcement officials cannot study or notice their motivations and goals because this would force them to examine Islam.
It means that those whose job is to protect the nation from jihadist terrorists are required by government policy to not know the goals and motives of the terrorists they are trying to stop. Our elected officials are more concerned with courting Muslim votes and avoiding the truth about the jihad threat than they are about stopping the next Islamic terrorist attack.
What can be done about it? We can vote them out but many Republicans will still be reluctant to face charges of “Islamophobia” which could kill their careers, even after the events of Oct. 7, Moscow, and 44,000 jihadist attacks around the world since 9/11. Cleaning up the corrupt FBI, and the entire intelligence apparatus, will not be accomplished in one day, regardless of who wins in November.
We are the only ones who can protect us from the next terrorist attack in the United States. The military is too busy attending drag shows and studying Critical Race Theory to be able to save us. We won’t be saved by the police who are understaffed, underfunded and on defense in all of the United States since a career criminal overdosed while being arrested. The feckless, politicized FBI is not going to save us.
We still respect self-defense, which separates America from Russia or Western Europe. Alert citizens foiled major terrorist attacks after 9/11 (including the Shoe Bomber, and the Underwear Bomber who still have a lasting impact on airport security). Only Americans who have the same alertness and awareness can legally stop jihadis. They may be the only defense between jihadis, unaware crowds, and defenseless humans. We are dealing with terrorists. Part of the fear they want to instill in our minds comes from not knowing when or how they will strike. Anyone, anywhere could be the victim of a terrorist attack. This makes it even more important for us to be vigilant.
To maintain a free society, Americans must also understand that the threat they face is an invitation to rediscover their spiritual roots and that standing up against evil is worth it, even if that means death. To live in cowardice is far worse than to die with courage.
This is not an invitation to die. This is an appeal to live. To recognize the coming dangers, evaluate our situation realistically, and plan accordingly. Americans have passively trusted our institutions for too long. They were confident that our elected officials, the military, and the police would do their best to protect us.
These days are gone. The jihadis still haven’t won. The left did not win. The socialist tide, which has taken away much of what Americans used to consider normal and accepted, could be reversed. It is our choice. We must all decide as God did for the Israelites when he said: “I’ve set before you death and blessing, choose life so that you and your descendants may live.” (Deuteronomy 30, 19). Jihadis are known to love death. Let’s love life more and fight against them and their totalitarian, leftist, inhuman allies.
