Steve Friend, an FBI whistleblower who has exposed allegations of government misconduct said that the FBI and Department of Justice operate “willingly outside of the boundaries of law and policy to achieve their ends.”
Friend, an FBI whistleblower and fellow at the Center for Renewing America, told me in exclusive comments, “In recent years, the FBI and DOJ’s dishonest tactics are their calling card.” He was partly reacting to new evidence and allegations from former Rep. Rick Renzi (R-AZ), who revealed the previous prosecutorial misconduct of Donald Trump’s prosecutors. Renzi and Trump, however, are not the only targets of a weaponized DOJ and FBI.
Renzi was found guilty of bribery, extortion, and other charges for which he had pleaded not guilty. He was then pardoned by Trump. Renzi was the subject of a complaint and investigation request filed by Mayer Brown in 2019. The firm claimed to have evidence of prosecutorial misbehavior. However, it turned out that current Trump prosecutors Jack Smith & David Harbach had been more directly implicated than previously disclosed. Smith, Harbach, and other DOJ and FBI members were accused of misconduct, including illegal wiretaps and witness payoff schemes, as well as introducing false testimony and tainting a jury.
Friend pointed out that Renzi and Trump are both examples of a communist pattern in the federal government. In recent years, dishonesty has been the hallmark of both the FBI and the DOJ. These agencies, instead of investigating lawful violations of the law, use Stalin’s method: “Show me the person and I will find the crime.” They also operate outside of the bounds of policy and the law in order to achieve their ends.
Friend gave other examples of FBI misconduct and federal misconduct in general. He said that they offered Christopher Steele $1,000,000 to prove the fictional dossier. They targeted General Michael Flynn in a process-crime investigation and pressed him to plead guilty by threatening his wife. They reinterpreted Enron accounting laws to accuse the January 6th subject of felonies. “They manipulated and withheld information during the Crossfire Hurricane Investigation.”
The FBI and DOJ continue to target traditional Catholics and parents who are concerned about woke curricula, as well as more famous public figures. Renzi and Trump are unfortunately not the exceptions.
Friend concluded by stating that the federal government targets Americans in an unjust and deliberate manner. He said that the FBI and DOJ were deliberately persecuting American citizens, rather than protecting them.
