Elon Musk Votes for Mayra Flores in Texas Special Election, Suggests He Likes DeSantis for President

Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, said he voted Republican the first time he had ever voted. He cast a ballot for Mayra Flowers who scored a victory in the special election for Texas’ 34th Congressional District. This resulted in the House seat being red. She will be the first Mexican-born congresswoman in the House.

Musk predicted a huge red wave in 2022, and suggested that he would vote for Florida Governor. Ron DeSantis could run for president in 2024 if he chooses to.

Musk answered “TBD” when asked if he would vote to elect a Republican president in 2024.

The Twitter user asked Musk, “Where are you leaning towards?” Musk answered, “DeSantis.”

Musk, 50, said that he had previously supported Andrew Yang as president but that DeSantis has a better shot of winning.

DeSantis, 43, has not yet said whether he’ll make a bid for the White House in 2024. When asked, he has deflected and suggested that his name keeps coming up on a list of potential GOP candidates because of his track record in Florida.

The tech billionaire also hinted that he might financially support future political candidates.

Musk wrote, “I am thinking of creating a Super Moderate Super PAC’ to support candidates with centrist views across all parties.”

In April, the business magnate made headlines when he offered to take Twitter private for $44 billion. This offer was accepted by Twitter’s board.

Musk is a strong advocate for free speech and has raised concerns about how Twitter is moderated. Musk is a fierce advocate for free speech and wants Twitter’s algorithm to prioritize tweets to be made public. He also wants corporations advertising on the platform to have less control.

Musk has put off the purchase of Twitter until he knows more about how many fake and spam accounts are in total.
