Will miracles ever cease? I was shocked to learn that Barack Obama, the former president of the United States, is worried about his re-election in 2024.
Former community organizer of the once great city Chicago rose to the position of United States Senator in Illinois before running for Democratic nomination in 2008 He beat John McCain and Hillary Clinton to win the right to run for President. He is also anxious about the upcoming elections.
In a sense, he’s like the majority of Americans who are anxious about the outcome of the November election. But I have a sneaking feeling that it’s for a different reason.
If Obama were 100% honest and serious, he would fear that when he looked into Joe Biden’s eyes, he saw a vacant stare that would scare anyone who cared about another human being. As a former president of the United States, Obama knows that his former vice president is incapable of performing the job or completing the race.
This should be terrifying for him.
This is the main concern of the 44th president of the United States.
According to a recent report, President Biden met with ex-President Barack Obama on multiple occasions in private to discuss ways to save their legacy against former President Trump’s presidency in 2024.
New York Magazine’s Monday article, “What Obama Is Whispering To Biden”, details the “secret meals” shared by both presidents. It also explains how they could salvage the election in 2024 despite worrying indicators.
A friend of Obama told the outlet that, while “his anxiety over the election is real,” his concerns are in line with those of other top Democrats.
Is the anxiety over the elections real? What you can get for only $600 Alex.
I understand that the article above tries to portray this issue as a purely policy issue. If Donald Trump is re-elected, he will undo everything Obama has achieved in the last eight years and Joe’s achievements over the past four. But I believe that’s an overestimation. I say that because Donald Trump hasn’t been portrayed as a jerk by the media.
Has he done anything that most people would find offensive? Absolutely.
In his first term, he didn’t go after Hillary Clinton or the Clinton campaign, even though it was crystal clear to the president that the Russia hoax about him receiving assistance from a foreign country to win the 2016 election pointed directly at Hillary Clinton and her team with their fingerprints on it.
I can understand why he didn’t. He is a former entrepreneur and had hobnobbed and thought the Clintons were decent people. Trump assumed they liked him.
They didn’t.
Trump’s most fervent supporters would have burned Hillary, her team, and the Congress with impeachments. While I’m certain that Trump was upset, I bet that he still believes that Hillary is fond of him.
Republicans in Congress, if Trump wins again, will be pressured by Democrats to lobby for a reinstalled Trump and to try to halt some reforms that are desperately needed. Trump is not a hardened ideological figure, so he will likely give these ideas more weight than someone who’s experienced what he has.
If Obama is worried that Trump’s team will target Joe Biden or Obama, then they do not need to worry. Will Trump, through executive orders or depending on the makeup and composition of Congress, be able to get legislation passed to roll back Obama’s and Biden’s policies?
Hopefully.
But realistically, even if Trump is re-elected, DC will use every trick to prolong his stay at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Democrats will nominate someone who isn’t a walking veggie like Joe Biden in 2028.
Obama shouldn’t be worried about this.
The former president shouldn’t be worried about anything. Since he left his office in January 2017, he has become extremely wealthy, owns an oceanfront home in the Hamptons, and enjoys his retirement as a public official.
He should return to Chicago to talk to people about their feelings about Bidenomics in the last three and half years. Barack Obama shouldn’t be anxious about anything because he has had secret meetings with Joe Biden and knows what his current state of mind is.
In that mindset, the only thing about which he should be worried is that Obama is trying his best to re-elect him.
