Kristin Zimmerman, GM Environment and Energy Policy executive, isn’t comfortable answering the question “What powers electric vehicles like Chevy Volt?” as you will see in today’s must watch clip.

Zimmerman said to reporters in Lansing that “Everybody thought we killed electric vehicle” on Thursday. He was referring to the long-dead EV1 made by the automaker in the late ’90s. Martin Sheen, lefty activist and sometimes ham actor, mocked the subject in a 2006 documentary called Who Killed the Electric Car?

After showing Zimmerman his brand-new Chevy Volt, Zimmerman exclaimed “But no, they didn’t.” It’s still alive and well.

Zimmerman is not a fool, just to be clear. Zimmerman holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. It’s not that she doesn’t know the answer, as you will see. She doesn’t seem to want it to be admitted while promoting GM’s renewed EV efforts.

Zimmerman stated, “Well, it is here.” “It’s coming out of the building.”

This stuff is impossible to make up. You can see the clip.

Zimmerman replied, “Actually Lansing feeds building,” when pressed. He was referring to the local utility. “Lansing supplies power to the building.”

“I bet they’re a little bit of coal. They’re loaded with natural gas, don’t they?

Peter Lark from the Lansing Board of Water & Light stated, “Our grid…is about 95% coal.
