On Monday night, three students from Michigan State University were gunned down and killed in an attack on campus. The identities of the victims have been revealed to be Arielle Diamond Anderson, Brian Fraser, and Alexandria “Alex” Verner (all currently enrolled at Michigan State University ).

Arielle Diamond Anderson (19 years) loved children and she wanted to be a pediatrician.

Her aunt, 45-year-old Chandra Davis, better known as Deelishis, won the second season of VH1’s “Flavor of Love.” On Monday night, Davis posted a heartbreaking message on social media that her niece was trapped in the same building where the shooter was reported to be.

“My beautiful niece @ariellediamond_ goes to MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY. A message said that she was in her classroom, the same building as an active shooter.

Anderson’s grandmother, April Davis, claimed Anderson had stayed at her home just days earlier. She described her as “very family-oriented.” ”

Grosse Pointe South high school is right down the road from Grosse Pointe North. This is where Brian Fraser, 20 graduated. Jon Dean was the Grosse Pointe Public Schools System superintendent.

Dean stated, “Earlier this afternoon I learned that Grosse Pointe North and South both had a recent graduate who was injured at MSU. “I can’t even process what I just stated. What can we do to make our community more meaningful?

Dean said, “It’s with great sadness that this news is brought to you.” My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who are affected by another act of violence. ”

Fraser was a sophomore studying business at MSU. Fraser, a sophomore, was the Michigan Beta Chapter Phi Delta Theta chapter president. He also served as a lifeguard at a Detroit club.

The Fraser family has yet to make a public statement.

Alex Verner is a junior majoring in integrated biology/sociology. Her family originally hails Clawson (Michigan), about 90 miles southeast East East of East Lansing. Verner, who graduated from Clawson High School in 2020, was described by Shellenbarger as “a tremendous student, athlete, [and] leader”, and who “exemplified kindness each day of her life.” She is also someone who is “incredibly loved by all”.

Shellenbarger stated, “If you were your friend, then you loved and will always recall her lasting influence on all of us. ”

Verner was survived by her mother, brother, father, sister, aunt, and aunt. Detroit Free Press reached Verner’s aunt and uncle. The woman who answered the phone declined to comment.

Anderson, Fraser, and Verner were also shot. They are still in critical condition.

Anthony McRae, 43 years old, was the suspect in Monday’s shooting. He was shot to death by an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

MSU classes will be closed Monday through Wednesday. According to MSU Police and Public Safety, the school will “operate with modified operations/services” Tuesday and Thursday.
