Wisconsin Speaker Says Trump Called Within the Last Week to Overturn Election Results

As usual, there are pointless attacks on Trump for him telling the truth about the 2020 election.

The Republican House Speaker of Wisconsin said Tuesday that Trump called him “within one week”, seeking to overturn the 2020 presidential election of Joe Biden.

Robin Vos (R), Wisconsin State Assembly Speaker, said that Trump called him following the July 8 Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling that many absentee ballots drop boxes were illegal in Wisconsin. The ruling addresses future elections, not the one Trump lost in 2020 by more than 20,000 votes in Wisconsin.

It is very consistent. Vos stated that he makes his point to WISN. I respect him. I explained that it’s not allowed under Wisconsin’s constitution.

Vos claimed that Trump had posted about him on social media. He claimed that Trump had made the same baseless accusations of election fraud, and accused him of allowing Democrats to “get away with murder”.

“What a waste of a brilliant and courageous decision by Wisconsin’s Highest Court,” Trump wrote.

On Tuesday night, Trump said on Truth Social that Vos’s Republican primary opponent, Adam Steen, could benefit if Vos does not take action. The primary is Aug. 9. A spokesman for Trump did not respond to a request for comment.

Trump wrote, “This isn’t a time for him to hide, it’s a time to act!” I don’t know the opponent in the Primary, but I feel confident he will do well even if Speaker Vos doesn’t move with gusto. Robin, don’t let Wisconsin voters down!

Trump’s criticisms last year led Vos to hire Michael Gableman, a former justice of the state Supreme Court, to review the 2020 election. Despite recounts and court rulings indicating that Biden had won, Vos retained Gableman. Gableman suggested in March that Republicans should decertify the 2020 election. Vos rejected this idea because of the fact that legal experts, including Gableman himself, James Bopp Jr., said it was impossible to do so.

Vos stated that he has been in regular contact with Trump over the past year, even though the two of them do not agree on how to handle the 2020 election. Vos did not respond to a Wednesday morning interview request.

Steen stated that he had not spoken to Trump, but that Trump’s comments are fueling his primary campaign. Vos was criticized for failing to advance the resolution to reverse the 2020 results.

He said, “If you really want people to know their vote matters, then you need to find the answer. So what he’s doing to me is spitting on the faces of men and women, who have dedicated their lives to this country.”

Trump continues to push for the overturning of the 2020 election results. Hearings at the House committee investigating Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol show that Trump’s actions set the country on a path toward violence that day. The evidence from the committee shows that Trump preferred to increase tensions than decrease them on at least fifteen occasions. The next hearing of the committee will be held Thursday night and will focus on Trump’s actions during the attacks on the U.S. Capitol.

Two suburban Milwaukee men representing the conservative Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty brought the Wisconsin case to the state Supreme Court. This was after approximately 2 million voters voted absentee in the November 2020 election. The majority of this was due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Wisconsin Elections Commission, 528 drop boxes were used in 430 states for the 2020 election.

The case was brought to the attention of the state Supreme Court after the conservative group claimed that there was no state law that allowed absentee drop boxes. The Wisconsin high court ruled against drop box use, 4 to 3, with conservatives and liberals in the majority.

Justice Rebecca Bradley wrote the majority.

While some Republicans may have used the ruling to reverse the 2020 results in their favor, the court’s decision was limited to future elections and not those that are already passed.

This court also declined to consider a lawsuit that was brought shortly after the 2020 elections and sought to invalidate the results due to the use of drop boxes. The justices ruled that contests to election procedures should be filed before the elections are held and not afterward.

Vos, in an interview with WISN, dismissed Trump’s latest push for Wisconsin to alter the results.

Vos stated, “I think that we all know Donald Trump” “We can’t control or predict his actions.”

Well, at least Trump stands for something, unlike old Joe Biden. The truth is that Democrats are scared of Trump and the fact that they did cheat in the election in order to push him out of office. We all know it and Democrats just need to shut the hell up and sit down. Look at the condition that our country is in now because of the Democrats and their dementia-prone President Joe Biden. The average American can barely survive and these dumbasses are still stuck on Trump when they should be begging for him to run again.
