The New York Times photo shows Julia, a weeping teacher who is armed and waiting for her deployment around Kiev’s capital Saturday to stop Russian forces. The Times reported that Julia is among non-uniformed, armed women and “weeps” as she waits for her deployment to fight Russian troops in Kyiv.
Breitbart News reported earlier this week that the Ukrainian government had given firearms to citizens willing to fight against Russia.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, made it clear that the Ukrainian government would supply weapons to anyone willing to fight for Ukraine.
On Thursday, it was discovered that 10,000 automatic rifles had been distributed by the Ukrainian government to anyone who wanted to fight.
In the hope of saving their country, armed civilians from Ukraine are willing to risk their lives.
