Former President Donald Trump has ruled out a second presidential debate in 2024 with Vice President Kamala Harris.

Trump wrote Thursday on Truth Social that “When a prizefighter is defeated, his first words are, ‘I want a rematch’.” “Polls clearly showed that I won Tuesday’s Debate against Comrade Kamala Harris (the Democrats’ Radical Left candidate), and she immediately demanded a Second Debate.”

“KAMALA SHOULD FOCUS ON WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE DURING THE LAST ALMOST FOUR-YEAR PERIOD. THERE WILL BE NO THIRD DEBATE!”  He added, “She refused to participate in the NBC or CBS debates and was a no-show at the Fox Debate.”

In a statement issued by Chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon, immediately following the end of the meeting between Trump on Tuesday and the vice president at ABC News in Philadelphia, the Harris campaign demanded a second debate.

O’Malley Dillon wrote: “Under bright lights, Americans got to see what they’ll face at the polls this fall: whether they want to move forward with Kamala or go backward with Trump.” “That’s exactly what they saw and should see in a second debate next October.” Vice President Harris has prepared for a second discussion. “Is Donald Trump?”

Harris reiterated her call during her first post-debate rally in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Trump is unsure whether a second debate will take place between him and Harris. He initially accepted a meeting with Harris on Fox News, ABC News, and NBC News for September 25. Harris has accepted only the ABC News debate.

Trump, meanwhile, has suggested that Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, or Laura Ingraham, Fox News opinion hosts, moderate a discussion instead of Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum who the network originally proposed for their iteration.

The campaigns have disagreed about the NBC debate. The Harris campaign wanted the next meeting to be between Gov. Tim Walz (D – MN) and Senator J.D. Vance (R – OH) on CBS News, on Oct. 1.
