Now we’re getting new details on how Democrats pressured Joe Biden into dropping out of the presidential race. We reported previously that the 25th Amendment was being discussed, but if these new details are true, they add a layer of intrigue.
Seymour Hersh is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist who has worked for The New Yorker, The New York Times, and The New Yorker. According to him, you cannot describe the events that happened to Biden other than a coup.
Hersh explains what happened following Biden’s short visit to Las Vegas, on 17 July:
Emily Goodin of the Daily Mail, who was a member of the traveling press group, said that the president had become “deathly pale” at this point. Air Force One then flew to Delaware at top speed, to Rehoboth Beach, where the President has his weekend retreat. Press pool members were informed that Biden was COVID-positive. On Air Force One, nothing more was said. The White House informed the public after Biden returned to Delaware that Biden was infected with COVID and would be placed in isolation. The White House said that Biden had upper respiratory symptoms such as a runny, cough and a sore throat.
This was the final straw for a group of Congressional Leaders, Government Officials, and senior Biden Funders who had been withholding large amounts of committed donations. The official said that donors were under pressure to fulfill their commitments. The official told me that Biden’s family refused to budge from their decision to continue the campaign because of the pressure they received from senior Democrats and donors. At first, the president was not reachable.
We previously reported that there were rumors that Joe Biden was in Las Vegas for a medical issue. Hersh’s source seems to confirm this.
Here’s the interesting part:
On Saturday, July 20th, former President Barack Obama became deeply involved and it was reported that he was going to call Biden. Biden’s condition and what happened in Las Vegas were unclear. The official confirmed that “The Big Three” – former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer, as well as House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffreys – continued to be involved. The official said, “On Sunday morning,” with Pelosi’s and Schumer’s approval.
“Obama called Biden at breakfast time and said, Here’s the deal. Kamala has given us her approval to invoke the 25th Amendment.” The 25th Amendment provides that the vice-president shall take over the duties of the president when the vice-president and others determine the president to be unfit for his office.
It’s not only that Barack Obama is identified as the person who threatened Biden, but also that he said Kamala was in support of it. Why did Joe Biden support Kamala if she was involved in the coup?
We reported that Biden’s support for Kamala Harris was motivated by revenge. Biden’s campaign quietly surveyed Kamala Harris versus Donald Trump. Biden believed he was the only Democrat capable of beating Trump. Barack Obama didn’t endorse Kamala immediately because he believed she could not defeat Donald Trump. He was blindsided when Joe Biden endorsed her. Biden’s support led to the party uniting quickly behind Harris and making it impossible for her to be passed over in an open process. Obama would not have expected Biden’s endorsement of the woman who supported the 25th Amendment to remove him.
