After the second attempt to assassinate Donald Trump, the left often repeated that political violence was a problem for “both sides”. MSNBC and some major newspapers repeated this line repeatedly, arguing that it was unfair to criticize Democrat rhetoric when Republican rhetoric is also responsible for problems.
What evidence was there to support the equivocation used to distract from someone who tried to kill Trump again? CNN’s Dana Bash gave a perfect illustration of this when she accused JDVance of making “bomb threats” to Springfield, OH.
JD Vance to Dana Bash: “You accused me of causing a bomb threat. Doesn’t that mean you should shut up about the residents of Springfield? Don’t you realize you’re engaged in basic propaganda to silence the concerns of American citizens?” pic.twitter.com/tYFvpZgVKJ

The claim was doubtful from the moment she spoke. There are many bomb threats. These threats are harmless and occur every day. Why would someone call in a threat to a bomb if they were going to use the bomb to harm others? This would defeat the point. It’s absurd to pretend that this is the same as an attempted murder in which a real shooter has been fired at and arrested.
But there’s another problem with the “bomb threat” press release. Not only were they all hoaxes but there was no connection to anyone who supported JD Vance. They are not connected to the Haitian migration situation.
Gov. Mike DeWine says that all of the bomb threats that were made against Springfield schools were hoaxes and came from overseas.
But we were reliably informed by the media that JD Vance’s cat memes were responsible for thispic.twitter.com/oKf0ri6dyn

This was predictable. As I mentioned above, most bomb threats are hoaxes. I don’t recall a single instance where a bomb threat preceded an actual bombing. It’s not that it’s never happened. It’s rare, to the point that it’s almost non-existent.
A bomb threat is usually made as a joke or to create chaos. It was utter nonsense to take a number of them, without knowing the origin or purpose, and then use them to claim that Donald Trump and JD Vance were inciting violence. This was also a transparent act. Democrats will never hold their party to the same standard, even if they are committing violence that is undeniably real.
Will the mainstream media share this information about “bomb threats”?
If @DanaBashCNN is going to blame JD Vance for these as she did last Sunday, then she needs to reveal on air to her audience that they turned out to be foreign hoaxes. https://t.co/fArBI9pXLG

I’m going to spoil it for you all. Bash will never mention this story again. She will not correct the record on air. She will not apologize for blaming Vance or Trump for something that they did not do. She’ll move on to another narrative, without having to explain the failure of the previous one. This is how the media always works, and no one can trust them as a source of truth.
