New York Dems Can No Longer Send Anyone, Anytime, to a COVID Camp

Yes, there are COVID-19 camps in the United States.

In 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), quietly published its COVID Camp Protocol. It was intended to send sick people to a camp to improve the lives of everyone. However, the term “COVID camp”, has a negative connotation. The CDC prefers “shielding camp”

What exactly is a COVID “shielding camp”? Let the CDC tell you. Don’t search for “voluntarily”, as you won’t find it. It’s unlikely that this is an accident.

Shielding is a way to decrease the severity of COVID-19 by limiting contact between people at greater risk for severe diseases (“high-risk”), and the general population (“lower-risk”. Individuals at high risk would be relocated temporarily to “green zones”, which are areas that have been established at the household level, community level, camp/sector, or community level, depending on their context and setting.

The Shielding COVID lockdown camps are like every other authoritarian attempt at limiting our freedoms. They come to us disguised in virtue. Every freedom-loving American should be aware of the “strict adherence” section. They wanted to lock you up to protect the “most vulnerable populations.”

Shielding can theoretically serve its purpose to protect high-risk populations against disease and death. Implementing the shielding approach requires strict compliance1,6,7 to protocol. The risk of rapid transmission to the most vulnerable population the approach is protecting could be increased by the accidental introduction of the virus in a green area.

Who decides who is at “high-risk?” It’s the New York public health commissioner that makes this call. This is the part that gets all commie-pinko. In New York, you don’t need to be sick in order to be sent to a camp. Anybody could be sent away by the public health commissioner at any time for any reason and for as long as they wanted.

FACT-O-RAMA! Biden demanded that everyone who was not vaccinated be fired. For the rest of your life, remember that every election day is an election day.

The good news is that a New York judge has thrown out New York Rule 2.13. This allowed the New York commissioner for public health to exercise these bizarre dictatorial powers.

Court documents show that Rule 2.13 states that “[t]he commissary has the unfettered discretion to issue quarantine or isolation for anybody, even if no evidence is that they are infected or carriers of the disease.” The commissioner decides the location, time, and terms of detention. This is not the case with an independent magistrate.

The judge continued:

Involuntary Detention is a severe form of deprivation, which can be far more serious than other safety measures such as the requirement to wear masks at certain places. Involuntary quarantine can have serious consequences, such as the loss of income or employment and isolation from loved ones.

New York’s legislature did not vote on Rule 2.13. How did this outrageously unconstitutional, draconian decision become a reality? It was ordered by the unelected governor of N.Y. Kathy Hochul and her Department of Health.

MARXISM-O-RAMA! Rule 2.13 gave the N.Y. Commissioner of Health the power to send any person, sick or otherwise, to a camp for as many days as she desired.

Importantly, who is the health commissioner who has the power to lock healthy people up for as long or as she likes? Hochul hired Mary T. Bassett about a month after she assumed the role of disgraced Governor. “Handsy” Andy Cuomo.

Bassett’s bio is worth a look, particularly the words “equity”, “social justice” and “equity,” which are code words for communism.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced today Mary T. Bassett MD, MPH has been named Commissioner of the Department of Health. Bassett has more than 30 years experience in promoting social justice and health equity, both at home and abroad. Her career spans academia, government and not-for profit work. She was appointed December 1.

Who brought the suit? Attorney Bobbie Anne Cox. Hochul’s pro-bono lawsuit was defeated by her. Hochul tried to gather any New Yorker sick or unwell that Bassett decided should be sent away.

Cox explains in this video how Hochul’s people battled to keep the tyrannical rule in place. She also explains how she wanted to use local law enforcement in order to capture Democrats they deemed sick enough to send to a camp.

Spoiler alert! This all stems out of Cuomo’s “emergencyCOVID powers,” which N.Y. Tyrants never wanted to surrender.
