Larry Elder, Republican presidential candidate Larry Elder stated Monday that MSNBC’s Al Sharpton was no longer the “biggest hustler of race cards,” citing recent remarks by President Joe Biden at Howard University.
Biden said white supremacy is “the most dangerous threat to our homeland,” during his remarks made at the Howard University commencement on May 13. The president also referred to the Jan. 6, 2020 riot in the Capitol Building, where supporters of Donald Trump’s former administration stormed the building for several hours and delayed certification of the election results of 2020.
Lawrence Jones, host of “Fox News Tonight”, said Elder: “I used think Al Sharpton is the biggest race card hustler” in America. “I don’t think so anymore. It’s Joe Biden. Joe Biden tells Howard that white supremacy is the greatest threat to the country. “Are you kidding me?”
Elder stated that the Anti-Defamation League tracks how many people have been killed by extremists from any race. Last year, 25. Joe Biden lied about his civil right record for decades. In 2020, there will be 11,000 black victims of homicide, nearly all of whom were killed by fellow blacks.
Biden has repeatedly attacked Trump and his supporters during his presidency. His rhetoric escalated following the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago in Florida, owned by Trump. The FBI was investigating allegations that documents had been improperly removed from Trump’s White House after he left office, January 2021.
Biden was awarded four “Pinnochios,” by Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler, in January 2022 for claiming to have been arrested during the Civil Rights Movement. In a 1977 conference, Biden also spoke out against busing, the controversial policy that sent white students to black neighborhoods and blacks to white neighborhoods. He claimed it had “set back the civil rights movement” in America.
