Kamala Harris and Liz Cheney held a town hall on Monday. The event started badly when Maria Shriver announced that all the questions had been “pre-determined.” While my first write-up focused on how stupid it was that the Harris campaign embraced Cheney, his failures went beyond discussions of political strategies.
Harris, for example, has a peculiar penchant for cracking up and at one point, the Trump campaign caught her eye.

What’s going on? Harris suffers from “theatre kid syndrome.” She tends to overreact because she is a ludicrously inauthentic politician, molded and guided by a group. She’s an awful actor and, when she appears in front of the camera, you can tell she is playing a part. Harris is also unable to stay in character. This leads to her laughing at things that are not funny.
When the vice president tries to be serious, it comes across as lame. You’ll know what I mean when you listen to this clip.
HARRIS: Donald Trump is a man who does not take himself seriously in many different ways.
(dramatic pause)
HARRIS: The consequences of his being the president of the United States is a very serious matter. He says things that will make for skits, laughter, and jokes.
Shriver admitted to the audience that Harris had rehearsed her answers in full. It’s not a good idea to speak in public. A professional actor may be able to pull it off, but your average politician will sound more authentic and relatable if they speak in broad strokes rather than using pre-written lines. Reading a speech from a teleprompter can be effective at times, but not during a “town hall”.

As the debate wore on, you may have noticed that Liz Cheney’s facial expression was slightly off.
Watch Liz’s face … she thinks Kamala is a moron but now it’s too late. She’s all in. pic.twitter.com/iXKH6UTmFG

Cheney didn’t do anything but roll her eyelids during this “town hall.” She seemed bored. She stared off into the distance and looked to one side at random during Harris’ responses. She was aware of what she heard, and her prospects dwindled with each vapid answer. The chances of Harris delivering on the position she promised Cheney are rapidly diminishing.
Cheney is too late. She chose to go down this road, and she may suffer a final humiliation within a few short weeks. This could not have happened to a more deserving person.
