I was right. The ABC debate played out as I had predicted. Whatever Kamala did, the media declared her the winner. They’re already talking about it today.
Harris, however, lied all night long, did not answer any questions, and neither the moderators nor the hosts checked her facts. Not even the “fine people” lie was fact-checked, as everyone knows it’s a falsehood except for Kamala Harris or Joe Biden. They know it, but keep repeating it.
The ABC moderators did a terrible job, providing Harris with a cover by fact-checking Donald Trump, but not Harris.
What did the voters get out of it?
The CBS focus group with Pennsylvania voters on this topic was very interesting. Three people thought Harris won and two believed Trump.

A black woman voter who believed Trump won said Harris simply repeated what Biden said in the past. This was exactly on target. Harris repeated the lies that Joe Biden tells about Trump, and they are still lies. How can that be a “new path forward”?
The young male voter sitting next to her then said that Trump had made a strong conclusion, asking why she hadn’t done the things she was proposing while in office if she wanted to. Notice how the black male voter agrees with him, even though he had said that he believed Kamala had won. He said that he believed she was trying hard to portray herself as a liberal like Joe Biden, but didn’t mention her policies, and thought it was a “facade.”
Doug Schoen, the Dem strategist who claimed he could not vote for Kamala Harris due to her position changes, has made an excellent point. He said that he believed Harris had won the debate but that the issue was the same. What Trump said during his closing remarks still stands. He also criticized the moderators for their bias.
Voters are still angry at the direction of the country, about President Biden’s performance, and about which candidate they prefer on the two or three most important issues that face the country, namely the economy, immigration, and law and Order.
Many voters, in fact, a majority, agree with the core of his assessment of where our country is at this moment. [….]
The debate was not fair. There’s no reason to think that he will get a fair hearing from other networks if there isn’t a Fox News debate.
That’s the real bottom line. The media will cover up for Harris if she lies.
It’s not the economy that’s stupid. Always. Voters trust Trump more when it comes to these top issues. Trump must hammer home the message in the closing statement. He should talk about it more, and when he feels he has said too much, he should talk about it once again to show how the government failed. This is what Trump needs to keep driving home until Election Day.
