Sage Steele, former ESPN host, ripped into Alyssa Griffin’s “The View” hosting role on Wednesday. He called the former White House Communications director under Trump an “opportunist”.

Griffin said Tuesday that the Democratic Party should “start fighting more” as “time is running short” and the presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in 2024 may have a “chance” to defeat President Joe Biden during the 2024 elections. Steele and other panelists from “Gutfeld!” weighed in with their opinions on the remarks of “The View” host, and Steele commented that this is “the first time” where the Democratic Party doesn’t have a clear successor to Biden.

Steele stated, “I don’t recall the last time that happened on the Democrat side.” “I can’t remember the last time this happened on the Democrat Side.”

Fox News host Greg Gutfeld stated that Democrats want voters to “imagine” Trump unfit for office, as they “create dystopian, amorphous what-ifs about the “end of democracy.” Gutfeld also said that voters “don’t need to imagine Joe Biden.”

Steele returned the conversation to Griffin and said that she would “be really mean” in a few moments.

Can I be really mean in a moment? Steele started with “I need, I have to.” “I don’t want to give Alyssa a lot of credit, because how many times have we been able say that she is right? She worked at the Trump White House. She has built her career around the Trump White House. She was the driving force behind everyone there. Then, he lost the election, and what happens? She goes to CNN, and then to The View.”

Steele went on to say, “She is an opportunist.” “And that’s all, you are done.”

NBC News reported that Steele claimed she was suspended in October 2021 from ESPN for her public criticisms of the company’s COVID-19 employee vaccination mandate and her comments about former president Barack Obama. After a settlement was reached in August 2023, she announced her departure from ESPN.
