According to the Associated Press, “Pakistani officials closed a major border crossing with Afghanistan, a landlocked country, on Wednesday, shortly after border guards of both sides exchanged gunfire, officials and residents reported, as a sign that tensions are increasing between the two neighboring countries.” Thank you, AP for your wonderful insight: It does appear that the gunfire is a sign of increased tensions.
Nasrullah Khan, a Pakistani official said that the reasons for this violent exchange “were not immediately clear.” Conflict may be linked to recent disputes between the Pakistani Government and the Taliban regime of Kabul regarding a jihadist group known as Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan or, more commonly, Pakistani Taliban.
VOA News reported on Aug. 6 that Hibatullah Achundzada, the Taliban’s supreme leader, “labeled all cross-border attacks including those against Pakistan as ‘haram,’ or forbidden in Islam.” Now, the Afghan Taliban is withdrawing their support and seeking to rapprochement with the Pakistani Government. This rapprochement was, however, short-lived. On August 22, the Pakistani Taliban killed six Pakistani troops, disregarding Hibatullah Achundzada.
Now this. Just weeks ago, tensions on the Afghan border with Iran were threatening to escalate into a full-scale conflict. IFP Media Wire reported that on August 7, “the Taliban” sent “thousands of troops and hundreds of suicide bombers” along the Afghan border to Iran. “The group claimed the group was prepared for war over a dispute about water.” Iran “issued a threat to the Taliban.”
We can thank Old Joe Biden for the increasing regional aggression in Afghanistan. The people of Afghanistan are still paying for the disaster caused by Old Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan two years after it happened. People will continue to pay the price for many decades.
According to the Associated Press, on August 22, “more than 200 extrajudicial murders of former Afghan officials and security force members have occurred since the Taliban took control of the country two years ago,” but, as Muhammad stated, “War is deceit.” (Bukhari 4.52.268). The Daily Mail had reported nine days earlier that “militants whose fingerprints were found on IEDs intended to kill Americans and a former prisoner released by the Taliban” were among the 65 terrorists admitted into the United States following the disastrous withdrawal. Jihadis outside Afghanistan are also benefiting from $7.2 billion in military equipment that the U.S. has left for the Taliban. Nikkei reported in March last year that the Pakistani Taliban militants were using “modern weapons and sophisticated devices for night vision left by U.S. led coalition forces withdrawing Afghanistan and fleeing Afghan soldiers” to intensify their attacks against law enforcement.
How did it happen that all that weaponry was left behind? In June 2021, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) questioned General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, about an ongoing effort to saddle U.S. military personnel with mandatory readings and briefings on the topic of Critical Race Theory (CRT). Milley situated his interest in CRT as part of an investigation of the causes of the bogus January 6 “insurrection,” taking for granted the false claim that the Capitol incident, and support for Trump in general, was rooted in “white supremacism.”
“I want to understand white rage, and I’m white, and I want to understand it,” explained Milley. “So what is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America? What caused that? I want to find that out.”
They could have spent more time on their jobs instead of studying Critical Race Theory. If they had done this, they would have realized what a mistake it was to give all of that material to the Taliban. In a healthy and functioning republic, those responsible for the events in Afghanistan two years ago would have either been impeached or forced to resign. The United States, however, is not a healthy and functioning republic. As a result, the political and military officials responsible for what happened in Afghanistan two years ago would have been impeached or forced to resign. This is the world that Old Joe Biden, his handlers, and their cronies have created.
