He cast a ballot for Mayra Flowers who scored a victory in the special election for Texas’ 34th Congressional District. This resulted in the House seat being red. Musk, 50, said that he had previously supported Andrew Yang as president but that DeSantis has a better shot of winning.
DeSantis, 43, has not yet said whether he’ll make a bid for the White House in 2024. When asked, he has deflected and suggested that his name keeps coming up on a list of potential GOP candidates because of his track record in Florida.
The tech billionaire also hinted that he might financially support future political candidates.
Musk wrote, “I am thinking of creating a Super Moderate Super PAC’ to support candidates with centrist views across all parties.”
